We want you to have the best possible experience when you rent an Easy Pay Mobility scooter. There are lots of things to consider when choosing which scooter is best for you.

Ultimately, it's a decision that will depend on your needs, lifestyle and personal situation.

This extensive list should give you a broad overview of the kind of details you should be considering. Pick and choose a few that are most important to you.

Dreaming about top speeds or flashy colours? Stop right there! It’s essential to consider the practicalities of hiring a mobility scooter first.

Where are you planning to use your scooter and how many times a day/week/year? Do you have space at home to charge and safely store your scooter away?

What you need, versus what you want, should be a top priority.

During Your Hire

Care

Once you've settled in with your new mobility scooter, we recommend daily, low-maintenance care to keep it running optimally.

Light touch cleaning and general care doesn't take long and won't cost the earth. However, it will reduce the likelihood of inconvenient repair work and prevent stressful breakdowns.

Follow our simple guide for maintaining mobility scooter health here.

Safety

Staying safe on your mobility scooter is paramount. Being a careful and considerate driver will protect you and those around you. It will also keep your scooter out of the repairs workshop!

Mobility scooters are designed to be user friendly and easy to operate. However, there are varying rules on how and where you can use them, depending on their classification.

Road safe scooters, such as the TGA Supersport and the Kymco Maxi SLS, are defined as ‘class 3’ mobility scooters. These powerful scooters can reach top speeds of 8mph and are very popular amongst our customers.

However, if you've decided to hire a class 3 mobility scooter, you'll have to be aware of the highway code. You'll also have to know what speeds to switch to when you go from road to pavement.

‘Class 2’ mobility scooters, such as a car boot model, have a top speed of 4mph. They are not allowed on the road but can be driven along the pavement or within pedestrianised areas.

See our guide on the main differences between on-road and off-road scooters here, and our top driving tips here.
