We all know that reducing stress can do wonders for your health. But you don't need to book a one-way ticket to an exotic island to take some time out.

Relaxation can start at home and only needs to take up a small part of your day. Picking the right activity to help you unwind is easy - there's countless ways to get your zen on! Picking an activity that’s also accessible, is not always as plain sailing.

However, there’s no need to over complicate things. A small bit of organisation will go a long way in helping you relax with your mobility scooter in tow.

Planning ahead can mean anything from checking the venue’s accessibility beforehand, to charging your scooter batteries the night before.

Whatever ‘relaxation’ looks like to you, we've got some fantastic, accessible options to suit everyone.

4 Relaxing Activities

1.    Immerse yourself in nature

The Eden Project, Cornwall

Enjoy an educational, awe-inspiring day out for all the family at the fully accessible Eden Project in Cornwall.

Discover exotic ecosystems and learn about preserving the world’s rainforests at this global garden.

Explore the famous Biomes - greenhouses where rainforest, Mediterranean and local climates flourish.

The Eden project is a fantastic, wholesome experience that will bring a sense of calm and peace - with or without the kids!

All types of mobility scooters are welcome at the Eden Project. Many paths are tarmacked for a smooth drive. Gradients have been softened to ensure limited inclines throughout.

If you have a car boot scooter, you can drive it along the easy access route to avoid bumpy surfaces and steep pathways.

If you have an all-terrain mobility scooter, you'll benefit from your scooter's ability to tackle steeper inclines and uneven ground.

If you'd prefer to leave your mobility scooter at home, you can borrow the manual and powered wheelchairs on site. There is also one all-terrain ‘tramper’ mobility scooter which can be pre-booked for your visit.

Other accessibility features include:
